My Name

Meet Annie, yep that’s me. Well sorta you see this isn’t my name, yet…

“The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.” -Isaiah 6:2

When the Lord calls me by my “new name” I hope that Annie is it. You see “Annie” means, blessed with grace, gracious and favored by God. You see I already know that I am “blessed with grace” in the way that I have been forgiven by what He did on the cross. However I also hope that I am “blessed with grace” in the way that I can show grace to others, that grace may radiate from me in all I do and say. That I may have the incredible pleasure to demonstrate to the world what real.true.honest. grace looks like.

I also hope that I may be gracious to others in a way that my life is demonstrating the love and grace of Jesus Christ! And as for “favored by God” I don’t know about you but to be called by Christ favored one on the day when I meet Him in heaven, well that’s… unimaginable. J

While this is what I hope to be, I am not there yet and may never be so I simply hope that in the end I can say…”I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”- 2 Timothy 4:7

So, to end here are a few verse about grace,

Yours Truly,

Annie

Psalms 45:2, “You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever.”

Jonah 2:8, “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.”

John 1:14, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

John 1:16, “From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.”

Acts 20:24, “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me–the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.”

Acts 11:23, “When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.”

Proverbs 4:7-9, “Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. She will set a garland of  grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor.”
